Supplies continue to be plentiful. BROCCOLI continues to be grown in many areas and also Canada. With most states promoting “Buy Local” interest for California broccoli will continue to be low.

Carrot market steady with good supplies. Growers are seeing better supplies of Jumbo and cello size in the fields which is a plus. Demand for snack carrots continues strong and advanced ordering is still the way to go.
Demand is moderate. Market is about steady. Wide range in quality & condition. Warmer weather is keeping the flower coming. Shippers have been dealing on size 9s & 16s in Santa Maria & Salinas.

There continues to be a sea of GREEN leaf lettuce. Competition with local markets throughout the country will keep California Green Leaf at a discount. Quality is very nice.
Even with limited plantings for the Summer, demand is very low for California ICEBERG lettuce. The competition for freight with fruit orders is keeping the Lettuce market down. Local supplies throughout the country are not helping markets.
Plenty of RED Leaf available out in California. Demand is down, and so is the market.
Of all the depressed leaf markets, ROMAINE seems to have a little life. With most leaf prices in the single digit range, Romaine markets are in the double-digit price levels. Romaine Hearts continue to be strong.
