Green bell prices are steady this week. The production season in Mexico is coming to an end. Some growers have started in California. Red, yellow and orange bells are up this week. We can expect good supplies from Florida. Prices on Jumbo slightly lower, others lower. Quality is generally good.
Movement expected about the same. Trading Poblano fairly active, others moderate. Prices Poblano higher, Jalapeno and Habanero slightly lower, others generally unchanged Quality is variable.

Cucumber prices are down this week. Supplies are good. Product is crossing through Nogales and also from Baja.
Moderate supplies from Florida. Price on Medium much lower, Fair Quality is down. Medium is wrapped. Quality is generally good.
PNW Onions: Demand remains strong. Market has steadied. Consumer packs continue to be in high demand. PNW Yellow sweets are available. Overall quality and condition remain excellent on these storage onions.
Mt Vernon: Good availability on all colors this season. White & some yellow potatoes are finished for the season. Reds will be available into early May, along with Fingerlings and purple potatoes. Organics are available.
Demand and disappearance has increased in ID and CO, however in the PNW districts movement is lower this year compared to last. Idaho appears to have a surplus of potatoes this season which is reflected in the higher disappearance and lower prices this season. Large potatoes, however, are a bit tight in the potato state. Overall, the PNW crop may end up a bit short before new crop begins in July. Large size russets continue to be a hot item in WA/OR with heavier demand. NOTE: Price increases on Large tubers are expected over the months to come due in part to supply and quality concerns as well as food service sector opening up over the summer. Quality remains outstanding.

Zucchini – Zucchini prices are steady this week. Supplies and crossings are down through Nogales. Mexico production should start winding down soon. There is some product crossing from Baja. California should start in a week or two.
Yellow Squash – Yellow squash prices are steady this week. Same story as zucchini, Mexico production should start winding down soon. Product is also crossing from Baja.
The East: Volume remains steady quality is variable.
The West: Mexico Mainland is closing in on ending their deal and moving into Baja, this will remain the same for the rest of this month.
The East: Rain fruit has reduced pack outs in a minor way, quality is variable. Otherwise market is pretty stable.
The West: Mexico’s volume is steady however quality is variable with green shoulders and other defects.
The East: Rounds are like the Romas with rain fruit reducing pack outs yet is overall steady.
The West: Mexico is steady with no quality issues.
